Building community with coffee
When Nick and Linda Castle wanted to scale up their coffee business, Gospel Entrepreneurs came alongside and helped.
The couple run CLO Coffee Roasters, a Leeds-based, values-led business built on nurturing communities through speciality coffee.
‘In 2008, we made a decision to exchange career dissatisfaction for a growing heart to see loneliness decrease and cohesion increase within our local area. We do this through coffee,’ they say.
Linda is head-roaster with an impeccable palate for tasting and sourcing great coffees. She and Nick, the company CEO, provide a quality product for customers, trading ethically with a motivation to make a difference in people’s lives.
Go BIG!
About the Gospel Entrepreneurs gatherings, Linda says, ‘I’ve really enjoyed meeting other people that have got vision. When we get together we aren’t told to “reign it in!”. Instead we are invited to go big in our thoughts and partner with Jesus to dream.’
Nick agrees: A Gospel Entrepreneurs gathering is ‘so different from other business gatherings’ he says.
Since joining Gospel Entrepreneurs they have had support and prayer from Roy Crowne and Laura Brett; they have been introduced to a coach to help them scale up the business, and they meet regularly with their mentor, Simon.
‘That’s been really helpful in the ongoing journey, looking at how we grow, what the next steps are, and what we feel God is saying.’ says Linda.
