Newsletter – November 2021
‘May the favour of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us – yes, establish the work of our hands’ (Psalm 90:17).
During this past month is has been exciting to meet leaders around the country who are enthusiastic about the Revelation Trust’s vision to develop gospel entrepreneurs.
We are on the lookout for people who see a need that no one else is meeting and then step up to respond to it; people who are inspired, energised and equipped to take a strong Christian lead in mission, community and business.
Our new podcast series in partnership with UCB will highlight these gospel entrepreneurs who have seen God’s favour rest on them as they have responded to opportunities God has opened up for them.
Listen in and join me in praying that God will raise up a new generation of gospel entrepreneurs who will have an impact for the kingdom of God.

Mike and Roy start new UCB podcast series
Roy Crowne interviews Mike Pilavachi on the first of a new UCB podcast series starting this week. Listen in on UCB’s Player App each Thursday from today until 2 December – or find the Revelation Trust podcasts from your preferred podcast provider or through the Revelation Trust website.
The first weekly series of six podcasts includes interviews with gospel entrepreneurs: youth pioneer Mike Pilavachi, toy shop founder Gary Grant, church planter Steve Gee, youth activist Rachel Gardner, church leader Dave Smith and leadership consultant Celia Apeagyei-Collins.
Enthusiastic response from Cliff College
In the past month Roy has been a guest lecturer at Cliff College talking to students about being Gospel Entrepreneurs. The college in Calver, Derbyshire, is a Bible college offer full and part-time degree, MA and PhD programmes, which focus on educating and equipping the church to reach and serve the global community.
As Roy says, the local church context can be a difficult place to be entrepreneurial: seeing a need and finding a new and innovative solution. Also, those church leaders who are entrepreneurs often don’t realise it. Cliff College is the first of several colleges partnering with Revelation Trust. Others include Moorlands and Durham. For some great examples of church leaders who are entrepreneurs, look out for Roy’s podcast interviews with church leaders like Steve Gee, who is about to launch a fifth church plant and Dave Smith, who started a church with five people, that has grown to include 2,500.
Finding young gospel entrepreneurs
Roy is already working with the first group of 12 young gospel entrepreneurs. If you know a young gospel entrepreneur who has a dream to take a strong Christian lead in church, community and business ask them to get in touch. Gospel entrepreneurs need to ask ‘Who is going to invest in me? Who believes in me and will come alongside me?’
We are identifying a group of young gospel entrepreneurs to work with over the coming year. We believe that strategic investment in this way will have an impact for the kingdom of God.
