Growing vision

‘Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes’ Isaiah 54:2.

The Revelation Trust is growing and we are finding favour from church leaders, Bible college principals and in many other areas of ministry. This month we have a new associate, Laura Brett – watch her video above or read more about her below.

Revelation Trust is also developing in Scotland, and the team I met with at the end of last month want to develop links in regions across the UK.

Thanks so much for your prayers and support – do pass this news update on to anyone who might be interested.

Roy Crowne
Revelation Trust founder

New Revelation Trust associate

Meet Laura Brett who has joined the Revelation Trust team as an Associate. Laura is an entrepreneur and, alongside Roy, she will be identifying, equipping, mentoring and releasing Gospel Entrepreneurs across the UK.

Laura is an evangelist, a qualified midwife specialising in perinatal mental health, an international speaker, and a passionate advocate and activist for vulnerable women, human rights, freedom, and positive mental health.

She firmly believes that the transformational power of the gospel is fundamental in setting people free from the hurt, shame and destruction that they can experience in their lifetime, and longs to see the complete freedom that salvation in Jesus Christ brings.

Laura and her husband Rob lead The Filling Station in Harrogate – an informal monthly spirit-filled, cross-denominational meeting of worship, word and ministry, and she has recently completed a post-graduate certification in Missiology. Laura also works part-time as the Evangelism Consultant for The Filling Station Trust.

Born in Essex, she has been living in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, for the past 22 years. She has three teenage children and enjoys walking in the countryside with her two Labradors.

Gathering gospel entrepreneurs

At the end of April Roy spent 24 hours with several of the Gospel Entrepreneurs he is working with this year. Together they prayed, dreamed and planned to develop the Trust in their own regions, passing on the vision to recruit more Gospel Entrepreneurs.
Here are some comments from those taking part:

  • ‘It was life-changing to meet with other young gospel entrepreneurs struggling with the same issues and also seeking to change the world.’

  • ‘It was great to have time to pray and reflect allowing God to speak in my life.’

  • ‘The thing I really enjoyed was the diversity; some people in business some people serving the poor…sports ministry, and everything in between.’

  • ‘It was so needed for me at this time. The stories and encouragements from people that have gone before build hope for the future!’

  • ‘This is a must for my generation, to release the entrepreneur. The real insight for me was the fact that God is the ultimate entrepreneur, who created something out of nothing. We are made in his image so we bear his likeness.’

  • ‘So, affirming, so encouraging. I long to do this in my area.’

Get in touch if you want to develop Gospel Entrepreneurs in your region.

Video course plans

There’s lots of interest in our plans to develop a short video course to spread the vision for Gospel Entrepreneurs. We have met with a potential film producer to discuss plans. Pray that this exciting development will release fresh approaches and resources for mission and ministry.
